| Hon Minister for Technology & Research, Professor Tissa Witharana at the Ministry office on July 7th felicitated Nayana Dehigama, Chairman of Epic Lanka Group who won the Asia-Pacific Young Entrepreneur Award. The Confederation of Asia-Pacific Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CACCI) organized this event for the third successive year and it was a part of the 24th CACCI Conference held in Colombo from 5th to 7th July 2010. |
| As an entrepreneur in the fast evolving ICT industry outperforming contenders in all other industry sectors from Asia-Pacific countries is quite impressive, the Minister mentioned. At a time Sri Lanka is emphasizing faster economic growth relying more on knowledge based industries and high tech ventures this achievement shows our capabilities at the regional level, he added. |
