For the first time in the history of local ICT industry, a Sri Lankan company won a Gold Award for a commercial software solution at the Asia Pacific Information & Communication Technology Awards (APICTA) 2008 held in Jakarta, Indonesia on 15th November 2008.

Epic Dial a Bank was adjudged as the best software solution under the Financial Services Industry Applications category and it won the Gold Award by defeating 15 other nations in the Asia Pacific region.

This was the 7th Gold Award out of a total of 12 industry accolades received by Epic so far in the year 2008. It was a few weeks back, for the second consecutive year, Epic won the highest number of awards in the National Best Quality Software Awards 2008 organized by the BCS Sri Lanka Section. In September we also won the highest number of awards at the IT Security Awards 2008 organized by ISACA Sri Lanka chapter.
